Elegant Floral Kimono Scarf

Japanese-Inspired Long Scarf

€220.00

This scarf was made from a kimono called kurotomesode, made around 1960-1970. This kimono was made from a prestigious kimono worn by mothers at their children's weddings. It is a special kimono that shared the happy time of a family wedding and a mother's love for her child together. This kimono was carefully unraveled and cleaned to create four kimono scarves with different designs.

One side has a large number of embroidered flowers, and the other side has only three chrysanthemum flowers. To add volume, I added ruffles only on this side. The scarf is asymmetrical, but somehow it is well-balanced

The material is 100% silk. Kimono craftsmen apply the colors one by one with a brush using a traditional dyeing method. The design is of a flower representative of Japan, with meanings such as sincerity, elegance, trust, and nobility.

It is almost a miracle that a 50-year-old silk cloth remains in this condition today.

Imagine. Imagine how the people who owned the kimono handled it. It is because they handled them with care and took good care of them that they have the softness of the silk they have today.

We want to deliver such cherished silk to people who will take care of it again. Antique cloth that will be gone in 30 years. I want people to use the limited amount of cloth with love. I want people to use it with love and care,
