Elegant Japanese-inspired wrap skirt

This kimono painting depicts a beautiful Japanese country house surrounded by nature. In Japan, daily happiness can be found in the changing of the four seasons, with its plants and trees. Each season brings flowers, and soon many green leaves sprout and then turn red. In winter, hardy buds hide under the pure white snow. By living with these changes in nature, we find joy in small discoveries and live with nature. This painting expresses that this is true happiness.
The season is spring. Various flowers are in full bloom, and pine trees and bamboo grass grow strong. From the Japanese houses nestled in the mountainside, one can imagine the lives of the people who live there. It is a festive season, as if the entire mountain is playing with colors. In the mountains, many living creatures live strongly and vividly. In this kind of nature, a feeling of humility arises, as if people are allowed to live there.
Using a traditional dyeing technique called yuzen dyeing, each piece is carefully hand-dyed using glue. The birds are embroidered with gold thread, giving them a three-dimensional presence.

This skirt was carefully tailored in the 1970s and 80s by artisans of the time. This is a mother's kimono for her child's wedding. A happy time for the family, the kimono you saw was like a wedding dress that would not normally be worn. The pictures and embroideries that the artisans took their time to create were seen only by a limited number of people at a limited time, and will be forgotten in time and history. These things that artisans spent their lives creating are now being reborn as fashionable clothing.
The belt has a hole through which a cord can be threaded, and the skirt can be worn as a wrap-around skirt. The waist can be adjusted from approximately 66 cm to 92 cm. Depending on the size of your waist, the strings can be tied at the side or at the back.
Length 94cm
