Elegant kimono chal

€220.00

This scarf was made from a kimono called kurotomesode, made around 1960-1970. This kimono was made from a prestigious kimono worn by mothers at their children's weddings. It is a special kimono that shared the happy time of a family wedding and a mother's love for her child together. This kimono was carefully unraveled and cleaned to create four kimono scarves of different designs. This was made pretty with ruffles on both sides so that it would sway in the wind. The material is 100% silk. Kimono craftsmen apply the colors one by one with a brush using a traditional dyeing method. The design is of a flower representative of Japan, with meanings such as sincerity, elegance, trust, and nobility.

An object that has been filled with many people's thoughts and feelings creates a new owner and a new history, and a strong attachment to the object is formed.
