This scarf is made of six different girls' kimonos. Each one is made of a different material, but the fabrics have the same tonal colors of black, white, and red. They are made of various fabrics from a wide range of eras, from 1950 to 2000. Some of the fabrics are called shibori, a dyeing method that creates an uneven, three-dimensional pattern on the fabric using a method unique to Japan around 1950. Most of them were fashionable kimonos that girls wore when they went shopping in town or on dates. We combined them to create one original scarf.

The backing fabric is made of mixed cotton made in Spain

It is almost a miracle that a 50-year-old silk cloth remains in this condition today.

Imagine. Imagine how the people who owned the kimono handled it. It is because they handled them with care and took good care of them that they have the softness of the silk they have today.

We want to deliver such cherished silk to people who will take care of it again. Antique cloth that will be gone in 30 years. I want people to use the limited amount of cloth with love.
