Vintage Kimono Silk Scarf

Elegant Japanese Floral Wrap

€220.00

This scarf was originally a kimono worn by women in a ceremony called the Coming of Age Ceremony. Its name is Furisode, and only unmarried women are permitted to wear it. It's made of soft silk and decorated with antique Japanese flowers and plants. The ceremony is a way to express gratitude to your parents by wearing this kimono as a sign of reaching adulthood. I remember how much fun it was to choose a kimono with the colors and patterns I loved and pair it with an obi.

From one Furisode, I made four scarves, each one different and unique.

These scarves are full of emotion, like the colors of spring.

They are made of silk, so they feel light and have a calming effect against the skin. Wear it for your spring outings.

Wear it as an accessory with a simple light-colored dress or a formal party dress in beige or white.
